Cheryl Achterberg writes about mental health, caregiving, leadership, animal-human relationships, and nutrition.

Cheryl’s Ph.D. is from Cornell University in Human Nutrition, and she has served as a professor and college dean at The Pennsylvania State University, Iowa State University, and The Ohio State University. She is currently in her second career as a creative nonfiction writer.

When not reading or writing, Cheryl is riding her electric bike on the hills surrounding Boulder, Colorado, eating dark Belgian chocolate, and either painting or dreaming of a dog.
